It is considered one of the most beautiful in the world by the famous novelist Aldous Huxley. It is without a doubt the most important landmark in Sololá and one of the most known in Guatemala.

Three spectacular volcanoes, Tolimán, Atitlán and San Pedro form the natural frame of the Lake itself. It has a surface of 125 square kilometers and is settled on 1,560 meters above sea level. 

The Lake complements its beauty with roads, beaches, riverside towns, mountains and volcanoes panoramic. It offers excellent opportunities to practicing fishing sport, sail, kayaks, free falls, aquatic skiing and the naturalistic recreation, as well as visit the 12 Mayan towns, with biblical names around the lake.

DISTANCE:  It is located at 89 milles (144 km.) from Guatemala city.

ACCOMODATIONS: Panajachel, the most famous and cosmopolitan town around the lake, have all kind of hotels and restaurants. The easy way to go to the other towns is by water.
